Lisnaskea-based South East Fermanagh Foundation (SEFF) is seeking to recruit a sessional Welfare/Benefits advice worker who will provide Welfare + Benefits Advice via the group’s South Down Gateway service for victims/survivors of Terrorism and other Troubles related criminal violence.
10 hours Welfare advice per week over a 35 week Programme – based in South Down office, Rathfriland 1 day per week and remainder as home-based work. From 15th July 2019 – 31st March 2020 (with possible extension). Home visits a requirement where necessary – travel £0.45 p/mile. Access to an in-house SEFF Appeals Officer.
Requirements of Post:
Completion and passed Citizen Advice Bureau’s Advisor Training Programme, Law Centre’s Welfare Rights Advisory Programme or be able to demonstrate that you hold a comparable qualification. Good knowledge and competence in dealing with the Social Security Benefits system and various funders and organisations. High level of professionalism and observance of SEFF’s strict Confidentiality and Data Protection Policies (inclusive of recent GDPR changes).
Full induction provided with laptop/Ipad also provided to assist in fulfilling the role.
Hours subject to change should demand levels not reach that projected. Costs associated with insurance, tax and other related contributions responsibility of appointee.
